I'm kind of a newbie at this...along with several other 8/9 week old breeds, I have 4 lovely Buff Orpingtons. I just noticed today that one of the four has yellow legs, like my Golden Sex LInks. The other 3 have pinkish white legs which is what I undestand to be the correct color. I can't believe I nevere noticed this before, I spend quite a bit of time with them in their house and enclosure. Her legs look healthy, no raised scaly skin, sores or discharge. She does seem to be a bit of a loner though...Should I be worried?
I am so grateful for any advice. I love all of my chickens and it breaks my heart to think she might be sick:(

Could the one with the yellow legs be a buff rock? Does it have the pantaloons that the other 3 have? If you got it from a hatchery, it could just be one of the breeds it was crossed with coming through.

Hmmm, good question. I'll check that when I go back outside. I bought them from a Wilco feed store which was carrying quite a few breeds during the chick season. Aside from what looks to be 6 of my 24 total loking suspiciously like roosters...what in the world am I supposed to do about that?? I m pleased overall with the quality of the chicks. My older group is already huge and the youngers are right behind them.
Thanks for your Idea/suggestion. If it is a buff rock, that's O.K. We like variety!!
