Buff Orpington Names

Hey Everyone,

I am a proud owner of a Buff Orpington. As a chick, we decided to name her Buffy, thinking it would be a somewhat original name. Well, obviously we were wrong. How many Buff Orpington owners are here that have a Buffy?

I named one of my BOs "nugget" and of course everyone thought I meant Chicken Mc. I meant gold nugget.

I have seen many called Buffy.
I have never called any of mine that.
Hazel for a Buff Orp seems quite popular.
One of my Orp pairs I lost at a pretty young age. The male was called Pecan, and the female Maple. They were a sweet couple.

If you want to call her Buffy, go for it.
I think it can be quite sweet.

Lol. A few years ago we had a young cockerel who grew his wings very fast. So we called him Wings. Everyone assumed we meant chicken wings...
We hadn't even thought of it.

I would have done Ginger. After the spice root. Also goes with the theme from Chicken Run.

Buff Orpington- Buffy
