by: Danne J Honour..get ready to read, its a good one

What a fascinating book. Must have just about every article, giving various breeders observations & techniques (sometimes conflicting) about buff coloured birds for the last 100+ years. It also includes the article by Peterson which was the second link.

In particular Danne Honour has written a very interesting genetic breakdown, towards the end of the book, starting on pg 235, with commentry,by Brian Reeder,in italics. Really interesting stuff.

It doesn't allow copy & paste.

I hope he won't mind my writing about some of it.... Danne Honour says that he thinks that is the buff is uneven & they show black peppering, that they are 'impure' for Di & Cb (dilute & champagne blonde genes), to which Brian Reeder has written "Not sure about that, maybe, but seems more likely to be that this may actually be recessive melanisers?".
