I have noticed that a lot of people have lone buff orp survivors from predator attacks. I have a buff orp hen that got injured and was left with some form of paralysis. She survived against all the odds. I have also noticed after attacks they are very sad and mopey. Are they just a more resilient breed? What is your experience with this breed and predator attacks?

I had a fox attack several years ago that took out most of my flock. One of the injured was a sweet little buff orpington girl. She was pretty badly injured, but she pulled through it like a champ. I think they're very tough little guys. And I have noticed that they seem to form pretty strong bonds with other flock members. And they seem to mourn longer than most other breeds I've had, if a flock mate passes away. They really are a wonderful breed. :love
