Buff Orpington Rooster

I bought two chicks in the beginning of march. One died but the other is alive. She is a Buff Orpington hen. I would like to get a rooster about the same age for her. Does anyone have a rooster available?

I would recomend that you get more hens of you are getting a roo. One roo can easily handle 10 hens. Not enough hens and he could over breed the girl you have.

If you're near Maryland I've got a few buff orp cockerels that are headed to freezer camp in a couple weeks. I'd sale one or two.

Hi and welcome to BYC. A rooster really needs about 10 hens. If you want a roo, I'd suggest consider getting quite a few more hens also.

One hen isn't going to last long with a rooster over breeding her daily. If you don't want fertile eggs to hatch or sell - you hen will do great without a rooster. She'd be happier with some other hens as her friends.
