Hello all - I went out to put the chickens(9 hens and 1 rooster) to bed to night and noticed I was missing one chicken - Greg the rooster (19 weeks), so I looked in the run and there he was - dead. I looked him all over and there was no marks or anything. Any Ideas as to why he died??

Maybe a factor - One of the hens likes to fly out of the run and go into the yard all day. Was he stressed about this?

Cheers!

Was it real hot there? It's always sad to lose a pretty buff.

oh my!! I can't imagine he was stressed over the hen leeaving the run though. He certainly could have followed her out to be near her. Perhaps he ate a poisonous spider or other bug?
