Buff Orpington roosters?????

I 2nd Pinkfeather! The 1st pic looks like possibly a Roo..the second looks like one of MY Buff Orp hens.
I remember it taking quite a while until I could tell the difference with my Buffs...mine were all so sweet and looked alike for a long time!

The first one is a roo, and the second one is a hen. I don't think they are quite that old. The hen may be, but the roo looks younger. Maybe he's one of those slow-maturing boys. Those usually turn out the best, though.

I have some buff orps that were hatched 9/2, they started laying about a month ago, well 1 did followed in the next week by 4 more, now I have 7 of 9 laying. The first does look like a cockerel but not as mature looking as he should be, the second one is a pullet and she looks like she is laying, maybe hiding the eggs somewhere?

Didn't know that. You may have just saved a chicks life. I have two chicks in the brooder that have little bumps on the side of their legs. I told my wife she was going to have to pick one for supper when they got older

The lone BO hen is laying now. I thought the RIRs were the ones laying for the past couple of days until I discovered the BO hen in the nesting box this morning and had produced an egg. Maybe, just maybe, she will start setting and I can hatch some out. The breeder of these BOs said we had 4 hens and 1 roo. Well, he sort of got it backwards ... there's 4 roos and 1 hen.
