I have 3 buff Orpingtons that are about 1 month old. I purchased them from our local rural king store. I couldn't be more pleased! Out of the 9 chickens I purchased (australorps and EEs also) the buffs are certainly the most friendliest of all. I love the way the like to roost on my arms and be carried around. Very personable chickens!

She's broody, so right now she is mean!

sometimes, one of mine will growl.
It works.
I send my husband in to get the eggs.

because I am...wait for it...chicken.

I had one broody BO last year that wouldn't let me near her, I had to wear long sleeves and gloves if I wanted to take a peek at what she was sitting on. Then there's the one that's broody now, I think the only thing she would notice is if I tossed her upside down. Then she would blink at me and go back to her setting.

Funny birds, love all the different personalities.
