I lost my Hope a few days ago, the one I said had been up and down over two of her three years of life. Nugget is my last Buff Orp.

Sorry. We had a lamb years back named 'Hope'.There is something about losing ' Hope' that made me promise myself never to name another animal Hope.
It is somehow sadder.

Oh no!!!!! I am so sorry to hear about Hope's passing. I remember you saying a few weeks ago that you thought she was dying and I have been meaning to ask you about her. Bless her heart, I hope that she went peacefully.

We heard upset cackling over the baby monitor in the main coop at close to midnight. It sounded odd so we went out to see if it was coming from Atlas's side or the other. Hope had obviously just died and the others were very upset. She did thrash a bit, poor dear. She had been eating and drinking as she always did that day. Her heart just pretty much caved under the load of what had been going on in her body.

They're about 6-7 weeks!
