*Buff Orpington Thread!*

My buff Orpington are very nervous. Not sure why because they were hand raised.

Each bird will have its own personality. And if one is nervous, especially, if it's the leader, then the others will follow its lead thinking it knows best.

I have three BO's and a Jersey Giant. The JG is 5 years old and the Buffs are just a year and a half. The Buffs are terrified of the shovel. I mean, run and hide, cuz OMG, it might kill us. But the JG knows that when I dig, there are worms to eat. But when the Buffs run and scream, she watches them like what do they see that I don't, the shovel is good. It's funny to watch.

Keep hand feeding them treats. Bring them a tiny something every day like a raisin or a bug. They will warm to you. It will just take time.

Can anyone tell me if my girls are true buff orphingtons? I was told they were but mine seem to have more whites and red features
They're definiteley not Buff Orps they don't even looked cross with one, sorry :(. They look like Red Sex links, Isa Brown kind of hens. They're lovely hens though :)
