We learned at Crossroads, from an old timer, that we defintely have some of the Brazelton and Clevenger line in our large fowl Buff Orpingtons. Did not show any LF at Crossroads. We have the breeding pens set up and preparing to start setting eggs.

Thank you for the compliment.

I love my buffs! Heck, I love all my orps, but my buffs were my first chickens ever so they have a special place in my heart. All the buffs are from a hatchery not far from here but I don't care, they're the best ever. Here's my Big Girl looking at the camera.

And Super here is the best broody ever! She's a great mom. She taught them how to get the meat off chicken bones lol.

really lovley girls!! Thanks for sharing the pics! I am planning to buy some buff and more blk hatching eggs from jody this spring..so we will be showing around the north east next summer..I cant wait..hoping to take blks , buffs, possibly some whites, and of course the aussies..it will all be up to me and the post office..bought a new brinsea for this year.I had to be a mad scientist to run that old hatcher , standing over it constantly..it worked OK but time to try something different.I will run a batch of aussies through the brinsea in early march and hopefully be setting some orps in first week of april if all goes well..

Dont like to campain them too much but hopoefully have enough to do 2 shows per bird...all APA shows ..

and Jody..looks like the poultry press article got pushed back another month for twin tiers...they had west texas show, wisconsin, southern indiana, some big fair show ect, they said they have been a liottle overwhelmed with number of APA shows this year...so should be out end of November..had a copy sent to you when it does come out.

Biggest cock in the show. Bigger then Doug's well over 15 lbs

I love buff orpingtons!!
When I was looking at chicken breeds, they were the first ones that really caught my eye, and I fell in love with them.
My neighbor has chickens, mostly RIRs, and one single buff orp named Lucy Lou, and I am in love with her.
So soft and cuddly, and sweet and friendly!!

I definitely want buff orps.

i rely on S&W AND Montgomery dogless.. they work day and night and you dont need to feed them or take them to a vet.. lol however i should say the s&w does need a little lead every now and then.

nice buffs folks.. ..
