Are you sure Ernesto is a Rooster? I bought 6 BO's at the local feed store. They told me they were all pullets. As they grew two of them outgrew the others by a mile. I just knew they were roosters but they never crowed. By the time they were 6 months old they started laying the biggest eggs I ever laid eyes on. They are a year old now, still extremely large hens. A lot larger than the remaining hens that I bought about the same time. In fact one of them is broody right now. I may be wrong but your Ernesto looks just like my two larger hens. I'm curious since my post is so much later than yours. Has he finally crowed?
