No, 1 large BO is enough for me at the moment.

With chick season coming up quickly, you may have good luck on social media like facebook or even CL.

Right!? I don't know who is interested in six roosters, but it sure is not me! Lol. I have 5 hens posted on Facebook, no bites so far. I am going to try CL if I find the time to.

My girls are finally starting to lay again. Charlie has been "luring" them to the back corner of the coop - he's been building a nest back there- clucking up a storm - throwing shavings on his back and just carrying on something fierce

Yes, I'm one of "those people" I have a cam in my coop - I spend way too much time watching

The girls will stand there and watch him - he's very devoted to his extremely large nest. I messed it up the other day when raking the coop - he promptly went to work straightening it out

Life would be sooooo boring without them!

If nobody wants them for breeding or anything, I'm processing them myself, because I can sell their cape and hackle feathers for fly fishing and get $$$. I would have a cam in my coop if I had the money for one......

My cams are OLD - we never throw anything away (not quite hoarders

). They are repurposed from another project we had years ago - the software doesn't even compute, so had to drag out an old computer (don't get me started on how may old computers we have) with an old OS system and hack the cameras (than goodness hubby knows how to do things).

You never know what gadgets or "junk" you have stashed will come in handy.

Here's my babe Birdie
A cute Babe Birdie she is! Thank you for sharing

My other hen laid her first egg today

It has a shell! Weird how the other one still lays shell-less. I love the shade of brown it comes in

Good looking eggs!

Your other girl is still laying shell-less eggs?
Did she by any chance have respiratory issues when she was younger?

Check her over well for any signs of lice/mites - you may want to get a fresh poop sample to take to your vet for testing of worms.

Gather her up and give her some extra vitamins - look for one that has Vitamin E, D, B12, phosphorous and selenium. Poultry Nutri-Drench has most of those - direct dose her 1cc per 3lbs. She may not be able to properly absorb nutrients. See if this helps along with giving oyster shell free choice.

I wish we had the brains to re-purpose like that for a game cam. :p We have a friend who has some awesome cams that he uses for hunting. Man, I'd love one of those. My brother and I like taking ''selfies'' with them, my mom knows him well and he said he doesn't care as long as we don't take them off the tree. And we only played around with them once anyway.

No, she hasn't had any respiratory issues as far as we're aware of. Only issue she had was a limp which got better but still kind of see it when she runs but she acts perfectly normal all the time. As for poops I have been trying to keep track of them and haven't seen any worms or anything but might take a sample as you said.
She one laying shell-less is considerably younger than the one who started laying yesterday so a few friends and I thought it might be due to her age and that she might be laying early if that makes sense.
