*Buff Orpington Thread!*

Pics
:( it's so funny because this bird and I have a love hate relationship. One minutes I'm thinking your not so bad I'm going to keep you and the next I'm thinking your out of here! Not sure what I'm going to do :/ anyone else thinking roo?

The one who's head I can't see has wings like my Goldie, the one on the right looks different, I can't see his come but he looks taller and more rooish. I'm not an expert but I've looked at a lot of pictures lately and by the first pic you posted, I would say Roo.

Roo !
Yep, and to answer the question on how sure I am, I'd put the probability right around 101%. Especially if Dragon Lady says so!

I finally got the ok from hubby to add a buff orp to our Meyer order, I'm super excited! The guy who lives 2 houses down has a buff orp roo who gets into my father in laws yard all the time and I'm just in love with him. He is the reason we have chickens, ever since my hubby saw the chickens in his dads yard he's been wanting some. We finally got 4 silkies in April and placed a order for more chicks 3 weeks later.

Just got our flock today, four large buffs from a larger flock. We named them after yellow flowers, or flowers that can be yellow: Dandy, Tulip, Buttercup and Rose. We're such newbies at this, but excited!

I'm guessing you'll fall in love with them. We have 4 ourselves and I'm quite partial to them. Best of luck in your chicken endevours!

Well I guess it's a roo then! Looks like I better find him a new home before I get any more attached :(
Thanks everyone for the input the only bad thing is now I won't have any more buffs :( unless my breeder hatches any in the next few days

Galanie, your birds are gorgeous!!! I love the fluffiness! What do you feed your flock?
Thank you! I give them a regular "grower" feed supplimented with a handful of Calf Manna, and oyster shell on the side for the hens. Then in the evening they get some scratch. They have the run of my back yard, a bit over 1/4 acre. So bugs and grass galore, too.
