*Buff Orpington Thread!*

yes I will also have to definitely say those birds are not buffs at all they look more like production reds or something.

Still unsure of the sex of this Buff Orp chick at almost 5 weeks....leaning heavily toward male

Love the demeanor of this chick!
Nice looking baby, it does look like a male to me too. A little crown is starting above his beak. I'm not 100%, but a good 90%. I would have to compare him to the rest of the hatch to be sure. Good Luck

im noticing that all the bo's roosters are bigger than the hens what is mine then hen or roo? she he is now 14 15 weeks and still smaller than the other one.

The first chick in the picture is Sunny my buff orpington then her two sisters when I first brought them home at five days old!! They are now almost a month old!! I think she is the friendliest of my three chicks! She is definitely a mommy's girl and I love that! If she is left alone for like five seconds she peeps so loudly like I'm not coming back for her! But after i pick her up she is so quiet! Lots of cute pictures on this thread!!

I adore my Buff, Miss Betty. She's quiet and sweet and somehow is the top of the pecking order despite being the most gentle of my girls. Maybe it's shear size that puts her at the top.
She loves to pose for pictures.
She is a beautiful girl....I am so confused. Our buffs our about 3 1/2 months old and we have one with a comb and waddle like this as well but the other 3 do not, only small combs. Everyone tells me she is a rooster, but I don't see the tail feathers. When do the girls start getting larger, red combs and waddles? Thanks.

updated pics of my girl Pumpkin, starting from the beginning till now

the 2 pic above she was about 2 wks old

Here she was maybe 3 wks old

2 above pic she is 6 wks old

This pic was from today about 9 wks old, she's filling out nicely!!
