Please share your concoction!!! I use YL too and would love to know more!

Oh, sure thing honey! I take one of those 32 oz spray bottles and fill it with filtered water and then add 25 drops of Purification and 25 drops of Lavender. In the mornings, after I hose off their poop tray I spray it down with the Purification/Lavender concoction and wipe it dry. Then I lightly spray the inside of the coop and their nesting boxes. Voila! Fresh and clean smelling all day and I have never noticed any unwanted insects in there either. Some people put vodka in their mixture as well. I tried it one time for the additional disinfecting power but it just didn't smell as nice to me so I went back to plain water. Does Doterra make a Purification dupe? I have also used the Rocky Mountain Purify blend in place of the Purification and it worked beautifully as well.

I was so happy that we were able to get two BOs in our eight batch of chicks three weeks ago. They are beautiful, and seem to be very easy-going. If fact, my granddaughter got to push our Elsa around in her shopping cart! My daughter-in-law said that Elsa was very calm and basically just kind of sat there!

Thank you Peanutsmomma, I am quoting you on my blog! Thanks for the idea I have hung rosemary in there but now I have to try your suggestion! I bet it does smell so nice :D

Is your other BO named Anna by any chance?

Hi y'all, I'm new and first time owning chickens. These are my 2 BO chicks and they're the sweetest out of the bunch. The one standing in the corner is my favorite...has the best personality so far and is very active. S/he is just so tiny compared to the rest, but seems to be doing fine.

Hi Brandi!

Welcome to the BO thread, glad you are here! Your babies are precious.
Last year, when we got our chicks we had a tiny BO that had a great personality too. We named her "Peanut" (my screen name is Peanutsmomma because she stole my heart

) because she was so tiny. Fast forward a year later and not only is she our biggest hen but she is at the top of the pecking order. We call her our "Ninja Chicken" because she keeps everybody in line, even the cats! Your little girl may end up being a whole lot of chick in a little space too.
