How old is she?
I have 4 15-week old BO's and I know I'm probably a month or two from eggs but so excited.

Turns out she is my True Whiting Blue pullet (super flighty) :/and they shorted me a Buff O.

I started a new flock and they are all 3-4 months. My ducks are about 6 months and I'm waiting for them to lay !

She should be almost 22 weeks old, give or take few days. I have another one who is either maturing a bit slower or was a bit younger when we got her (was told both were about 6 weeks old) In any case, super happy with the eggs - could not believe it but there was ANOTHER egg in the nest today; this time much bigger!

SWEET. I may not have to wait as long as I thought I would.
I also have so Cochins and I know they can take longer to mature.

Have you called Murray McMurray about the shortage? I would think they would make good somehow.

Yes, they shorted me two minorcas too, so they are sending me another batch.

Well, our Orpingtons are 20 weeks old now. Only 2 ended up being pullets, and we decided to keep one cockerel. He's pretty gentle with the girls (despite raging hormones haha). Now, we're just waiting on eggs

Does anybody know if Buff orpingtons and Australorps make a good mixed flock? I'm planning on keeping 3 Orpingtons and 3 Australorps together

yes, they do well together. We have 6 austrolorps and 4 buff orpingtons in our flock.
