LOL Yes, even the hatchery mine came from claim they are of English descent, but they are not the near as fluffy as ones I often see. So I call mine American hatchery quality![]()

Hi @Krafty
What does she have??? A frog![]()
She's going to be a beauty!
LOL Frog chase! I had a toad/frog that kept burrowing in the corner of my run last year - every morning, I would remove him (I happen to like them). I would put him in the wood shed thinking he would find a new home - nope! I was watching one day - here that little frog goes hopping back out of the wood pile right back into the run - well....we know what happened to himYes she has a frog and like 5 others hot on her heels for that frog lol
Thanks for the replies. He is from Cackle as I stated and he is supposed to be pure Buff Orpington, but who knows for sure.I think he would be what English Orpington breeders call "hatchery quality". I haven't read up on it much, but English Orpingtons are much more fluffy or full than what I call Amercian Buff Orpingtons - this is usually what you get from the hatchery. If he is only 9months he definitely fill out more - he does have an impressive comb and wattles for sure.
If I am not mistaken Buff Leghorns would have white earlobes.
Just my thoughts![]()

Here's what I would call English Orpingtons

American Orpington:

Well I guess nothing is for sure but he is from Cackle like I stated and supposed to be pure. Thanks for the input. Are you sure he's not a buff leghorn? Hes got HUGE comb and wattles. Also lacks type for an orpington.

She looks like a sweetheart! I'm glad she is healing from her recent adventureI have to brag about my BO here - a week ago she was attacked by a hawk - I thought she lost her eye, there was so much blood. But she didn't - just a big cut - and it has almost healed all the way. She survived a dog attack last summer too!! She has 9 lives! She flew up on my back today and I took this pic![]()
