Buff Orpington with irregular eggs

I have a Buff orpington hen who is a year old. She used to lay light brown round eggs everyday, but now lays long, white fragile eggs about 4 times a week. This might be due to her having a bound egg a few months back, but the color changed dramatically!

Thank you! Her eggs used to be consistently light brown, then they went to dark brown, now, they're paper white! She seems in good health though!

In the heat of the summer, fragile eggs can become more common as well. Chickens don't eat as much so they aren't getting as much calcium. I especially notice this with my older girls.

I appreciated reading this thread because I have the changing of egg color going on with my BR. At first Chanel laid huge, round, medium brown eggs. Her flockmate, Ms. Dior, was later to start laying and laid light speckled brown eggs. A month later, Chanel is laying light brown eggs and Ms. Dior is laying the huge, round, medium brown eggs. I guess Chanel is going to take a break soon. (Good thing, she's laid steady for almost 4 months, daily.
