Hello!
I just joined this year, and will be getting my new peeps in about 6 weeks!! I can't wait!! My dear, poor, VERY tolerant husband has heard nothing but chickens chickens chickens for weeks! I, too, want to get Buff Orpingtons, but am concerned with our very dry eastern Washington state heat -- upwards to 110 in the summer. Will my girls do ok with this? Am reading about shade, iced water, and am already making frozen fruit "chicken-cicles" for the hot weather.
