Am looking for a pair of hens for one of my Girl Scouts. She had some stolen/munched by a weazel and she is crushed, so I told the family I would see what I could do. Any one know where to look in Maine; I'm new to the chick-biz? thanks!

my BO hen is on the 6th day of broody on some mixed breed eggs, some might be mixed orps. i'll pm you when she hatches!!!

I'll be putting some EE and some mixed eggs and some bantams into the bator next week. I'll have chicks to share the end of July.

did you check Uncle Henrys? someone has mature ones for free because they are not laying. They frequently have chicks listed.

I checked Uncle Henry's online, but not the book itself. I will check again though, and see what I can find. I also checked Craigslist, ebay and the local newspaper's classifieds. Thanks for the suggestions!
