Buff Orpingtons or Barred Rocks?

Oh and what about size ? which is bigger?
Buff Orpingtons (8 lbs. for hens, 10 lbs. for roosters) average slightly heavier than Barred Rocks (7 lbs. for hens, 9 lbs. for roosters), but the difference is negligible and weights can vary from individual to individual with each breed.
 
I like your opinion on both breeds! Yes i will definitely try both breeds, and who knows, maybe i will love them equally:highfive:

Our hens are about 6 months old at this point. Even though we have three Barred Rocks, one of them is only approximately nine weeks old, so she doesn't count as far as size and weight. But the largest Barred Rock is about 8 lbs., while our runty girl is about 5 lbs. So, as you can see, both are on opposite ends of the spectrum! Our Buff Orpington is most likely around 7 lbs.
