Buff Orpingtons - pullets or cockerels?

Hey y’all, it’s been a while since i’ve posted here!

I’m normally fine with sexing chickens, especially older ones, but a few months ago I got some lovely buff orpington’s (which i adore!) and i’m having trouble sexing them.

There were originally 4 but I sold a couple which were definitely pullets but I just can’t get my head around these two! I believe they are heading for 5 months old.

What confuses me is that I have another buff orpington (pictured below) which is a 6 month old pullet and she has hardly any comb and wattle development and the too above do....i’m just hoping they’re not both boys!

I would guess pullets. I had Buff Orpington hens with different comb sizes. The saddle feathers in the picture look more like a hen than a rooster.

I see no pointy saddle feathers. Some ladies can have bigger combs and wattles, especially if these came from a breeder who bred their hens to have bigger combs and wattles. Yours seem to be quite red, so I would think you have a point of lay pullet.

Thank you for the responses! They’re currently living in a big pen with other POL pullets. I’m going to separate the two buffs and put them in a different pen; hopefully I’ll get an egg (if they’re girls!)

I have 5 and all are very different combs and feathering but I would say pullets based on those pictures

I say pullets as well. My Orps all have combs and wattles and are laying.

Apologies for late reply, I’ve had a busy week and was unable to get any more
photos.

I have good news though; I put the two in their own coop and just a few days later found a lil egg in the nest box! Now I know I’ve got at least 1 pullet
