buff orpingtons

our buff stopped laying last winter after they went into molt and for some reason they have started laying 1 egg or 2( 4 hens and only 4 yrs old), after hubby divided his coop for some sexlink pullets. would adding these pullets in the building have anything to our buffs start laying again. we won't put then in the same side as the buff as we have a rooster that is not very nice.

Maybe so.
They hadn't laid since last summer until the new birds were added?

thank you. we won't be adding the sexlinks into the same pen as the buffs and the rooster. they have their own area.
