I have 6 buff orpingtons. 2 out of the 6 have delayed feathering and no tail feathers. They are a little over 3weeks old does this mean they are males?

it probably means either those ones are growing slower than the others for one reason or another, or you have two pullets in a flock of cockerals. Oo goodness I hope not flock of cockerals. With ninety percent reliability, the odds are against that. You probably have a flock of pullets, and two are growing slightly slower.Oo goodness I hope not flock of cockerals. We bought them as hens but I know that's only a 90% with venting.
Right now they only have feathers in there wings and a on top of the shoulders.In my experience with Orps the boys feather out much slower , especially in the shoulders
Ok thank you. Which one has whick saddle feathers?You should start to tell a significant difference in feather. Not 100% just my experience. Start to look for pointed versus round saddle feathers
