Buff Orpingtons

My new chicken house just got finished. I want to get some chickens in the spring. I am looking for some really nice Buff Orpingtons. Better than what I can get at the hatchery. I want big pretty chickens. I don't know where to start. My neighbor saw some really big ones at a swap meet here in MO a few weeks ago but since he didn't know I was looking for some he didn't get the name of the people who had them. If they are BYC members maybe they could get in touch with me. I contacted Bargain but she doesn't have buffs. Any ideas on how I should proceed? I am open to any and all suggestions. I just want some good quality chickens that I will enjoy looking at.

I ordered two Buff Orpingtons from Meyer Hatchery, and they are gorgeous. I was expecting just some average quality Orpingtons since they are hatchery stock, but they really surprised me. Their coloring is beautiful, and they are big girls. I'm really happy with them.











This one injured her comb, so that's why she is missing two spots on it.
