Buff orpingtons?

I ordered some Barred Hollands, and of course, they were the ones that died from my shipped order. I'm still upset. I wanted white eggs & I thought they were so pretty

. I know how disappointing it is.

Buff Orpington chicks are pale yellow as chicks and have pink feet. Production Reds are two or three shades darker as chicks and have yellow feet. If you know what to look for, it's easier to spot the mislabeled chicks at feed stores. Sometimes labels get mixed up and chicks get put in the wrong bins.

I would put my money on RIR or Sex-Linked.

I ended up with BSL instead of the Austrolorps that I intended to get. However, I knew this going into the purchase. I was never really satisfied with my decision. Until recently they have all been ultra skittish (they are 7 weeks, approximately). And even still, now only 2 are semi-friendly. I may end up keeping those 2, the others I will be giving to my aunt.

I know how disappointing it can be to end up with a chicken breed you didn't want. There is no shame in finding new homes for them and getting what you want.
