Buff Orps and RIR?

Hello all! I currently have 3 Buff Orpington chickens, 5 weeks old. I want 2 more chickens and feel I need to get them now so that I am not mixing them when they are much older. My husband wants RIR. I have read some reviews that says they can be agressive towards other chicks. Is this a bad idea to mix the 2 breeds? Are Buffs just too nice? Thank you!

My rhode island reds bully my buff orpingtons. Orpingtons are just to docile and friendly. The RIR will be the dominate force in your flock if you add them.

Do any chicks go well with Buffs?

Just to say. All chickens have a pecking order. If you and your husband want 2to different breeds. They may fight for a little while. But get along as they get older. And your hens will so the same.
And remember any Rooster will top any hen. Do not think that the R I Red rooster only wants R I Red hens. And the Buffs the same way.
They are heavy breeds and a few buckles into each other and the pecking will be set.
