Buff Orps legs turning green ?!

I have 3 -2month old Buff Orp Pullets that we have had for about 3wks or so now. They originally had the pale white sort of colored legs/feet that generally come along with the breed - however today when i let them out to range, I noticed theyre legs were a greenish color. They are housed with two Red Sex Link X's who are the same age & all of them are eating, drinking & acting fine.

What does this mean ?!

I had a BO roo that threw a couple green legged chicks. They are 10wks old now and one is a real dk. green. I was told by someone on this forun that his leg color gene wasn't true and thats why the chicks had green legs.

You know, I wonder~~~~We processed a young roo today. The lining of the gizzard was green. I'm sure it is from the grit that is the same color. This is the first I've noticed and we have used the same grit for a good while.

I wounder~~~ Do you buy and use grit or are they free range?

All I keep hearing is that they may not be full BO - not that it matters to me though. I bought them from someone who got them in a brown egg layer assortment off of a hatchery site.
I guess ill have to wait & see what their eggs look like !

I dont use grit. Right now, we are still working on the roof of the coop so they come out during the day to range in their run, and back into the hutch at night.
