When I must feed a 4H project more than the youth, the project goes. I like the Buff Rocks, but adore my Orpingtons. We have sold all of our Buckeyes to make room for Orpingtons and Lamonas. We will keep our flock to a size I can manage and then the kids can assist me. When they start caring for mine more than me, then they will be able to get some birds of their own. My 6 year old girl feeds the Buff Orpington Bantams most days. She is keeping hers. I took back over some so we could keep them. The others are all being sold. The Buff Rock Bantams are the only breed left to sell.
