The reason why I am asking is because I started getting silkies for fun for my son. I have two blue, two splash, and two partridge. The one splash is the roo. Now I want more colors. As it turns out the blues and splash are fine together, but I don't know if my splash and partridge can mate. I would want to sell eggs and birds later when I have too many and that is why I am asking. The roo was suppose to be a girl and I wasn't going to breed, but now that I have him and love him...well now I am thinking of breeding and getting the other colors as well.

it best to breed same color birds together if u want sell eggs if u want breed for cool colors them u breed about any thing together

Is blue/partridge alright? I really want to focus on the blue/splash pen and then get buff and porcelain. But I don't want to get rid of my two partridge ( one is a showgirl). Howeve,r my husband isn't fond of building coops and runs and said I can only have one more for now.
