Buff Silkie Thread!

Is her skin really white or is it like a light blue??

If she is otherwise your best quality pullet, try pairing her with a dark buff or even red plumaged roo with dark skin. Everything about her colouring says "too diluted" (for buff). Sorry for the delay. I just saw your question today.

Her feet are a pale, almost baby blue and her skin is a light grey.


My earlier post was a month ago. Now she is 12 weeks old. Here is a pic I took today. I think she's filling out nicely.

She was, years ago. I no longer have silkies. Except for the 2 hens I am using to hatch out my call duck eggs.
