Buff Wyandotte

According to mypetchicken.com, I have a buff laced Wyandotte. Supposedly she was born in May and I think she's just laid her first egg. It is small and tinted pink. I also have an EE who lays small green tinted eggs. I'm wondering if maybe she is mixed since she came from someone who had a bunch of hens and roosters and didn't separate them. Is it possible she has some EE in her or is that not how it works? I only have 3 hens: BO (currently molting and not laying), the EE, and the BLW so it has to be her egg.

Pink tinted eggs is fairly normal for a Wyandotte. Wyandottes usually lay light brown eggs. However, hens often do not lay eggs that are the exact same shade as another hen of the same breed. Both my Wyandotte hens layed tan/cream/pink-tinted eggs that where definitely lighter than most.

However, I am not an expert. If you post a photo of the egg and your wyandotte, I bet some of the chicken enthusiasts on here would be happy to tell you if she is a mix and/or if the egg that she layed is abnormal.

Thank you. I'm just so excited she started laying in December in New England! I thought for sure we'd have to wait until spring.
