Just wanting thoughts on this rooster. Bought him as a buff Wyandotte but when I google pictures of them they look completely different. Is he really a buff wyandotte?? P.s I call him Fabio

Hi, welcome to BYC!

I never knew buff Wyandotte was a thing. But when I looked it up they were accepted into the APA in 1893. My guess is that is a more rare color and much of the imagery seen during a search is inaccurately posted.

He is beautiful AND that pic is fantastic!

Looks like the correct color shanks and comb.

Your rooster appears to have barring, and some columbian maybe?

It actually looks similar to "red sex linked" roosters, but lighter and with barring.

,So I would say it is not a buff wyandotte, but a cross of some sort, maybe of 2 wyandottes of different colors?.. but he's a really pretty rooster!
