Move in day is coming. My 13 chicks move in to their new coop this weekend. While I'm confident in the construction of the coop and run, I know the greatest vulnerability is something, most likely a Fisher (called a Fishercat up here in New Hampshire), chewing through wood.
I've got 4' electric netting around the coop and run, but there are trees close to the electric fence- perhaps 5' away. Should I cut a buffer zone between forest and electric fence? If so, how much of a buffer do you think works be enough?
Thx for the help.
