These are not bed bugs they are really really tiny. They look like this (.) Just a tiny dot that walks pretty slow but is filled with blood. I moved the chicken out of the brooder today. I would have liked to keep them in one more week but since we arein Phoenix I think they will be ok. From what I read I think they are avian mites.
My biggest problem is trying to get them out of the house. I did read that once the birds are removed they can not live for more than a week but another site made it sound like they are impossible to get rid of ...
Anyway, any ideas on what to use in the house if they are avain mites?
