Bugs in chicken feed

I did a few searches and couldn't find any threads with photos. Are these weevils? Whole bunch of them in a new bag of starter feed!

Yes some sort of grain weevil. Quite a lot of them *itchy feeling*.

More importantly what should I do with the bag? I see some folks just pour it out and let the birds go nuts. Even if the store will refund me I doubt they'll take it back or will just tell me to toss it in the dumpster.

Bad idea to pour it in the leaf compost?

Hmm... actually I don't know what I'd do (never had weevils before, knock on wood). I'd probably throw it in the trash because I don't want the darn things reproducing in my yard but I don't know much about their life cycles or what they'd need to reproduce in the environment.
