bugs in feed

Your store will want to know but they may not want the contaminated feed returned. Call, most likely they will give you a refund for the bar code only. Insect waste can contain toxins.

I returned the feed. They were trying to sell me old feed because the date on the package was expired. The guy would NOT give me all my money back. He claimed that I purchased the feed for less than what I actually purchased it for. He never gave me a receipt, and I never asked for one so there was no way I could prove the price I had paid for it. I did not waste my time trying to argue with him. I just left and said "whatever". He knew I was mad. One thing for sure he definitely lost my business. There are other feed stores that would love to have my business. I found one store that only sells Purina Mills (Start & Grow), but the owner told me that he could order me any of the Purina Mills products so that is where I will probably do business from now on, and at least this way I will know the feed is fresh.

PS - One thing I did learn from this experience, always ask for a receipt.

I have been feeding my chickens purina mills feeds for the last 2 months. You can't go wrong with them. My chickens and ducks and geese have NEVER looked better.
