Bugs....

Has anyone ever had bugs get into or maybe even form inside a bag of scratch?? My bag has gotten these little black bugs in it and my chickens came running and immediately went to town eating them?? I threw it away but am hoping they'll be ok?? I know chickens eat all kinds of bugs but just wanna be sure. Thank you.

I would think it'd be good for them I've had mice and Beatles in my scratch but they just eat I've never had a problem

It happens. It won't hurt chickens. Actually good for them. But, you are paying for bug free food. I would return it.

Thank you and YES that's what I think they ARE.. tiny beetles!!?? NO can't return it now.. it was actually almost finished and a few months old.. but thank you all for the peace of mind. They do LOVE those bugs.. in fact the minute they see me go even near that bag they run and stand under the chair I have it on and wait for the bugs to fall to the ground so they can eat them!! Lol
