build pics lmk what you think

For nesting boxes, use 5 gallon buckets. Do a google search for "5 gallon bucket nesting box".
There are other things you can use for them as well that will save you time and money.

Out of curiosity, how did you post your pictures?

Just clicked the image link in the reply box and selected from my phone would only let me do one at a time

1/2 PVC to help support the bird netting I'm ordering to prevent fly outs

My netting really sagged bad this past winter when we had the ice (especially) and snow. I don't know but that might break the pvc. It really pulled the wallls of my run in when it sagged.

Anyone?going to start on nesting box next week how tall should I make them?

I use Rubbermade type totes - cut a hole in the end. Laid a paper plate down and traced around it then cut the hole out with a box cutter. They are easy to clean should you get something like lice or mites.

I used 6 foot tall 4 inch round posts for my run posts then 2x4s connect each post I then drilled 1/2 inch hole in each corner and ran my PVC with the net over it I can hand 10 lbs on it and doesn't move

Picked up a load of scrap wood and made my boxes 16 finished need some more 2x6 for the others

You only need one nesting box for every 3 chickens. They should only use them for laying eggs not for sleeping. They should sleep on roosts. You could take the 2x4 off the top row of nesting boxes and cut notches to hold it. Then put some sand in the space below it above your nesting boxes for easy clean up of all the poop from when they roost.
