We have found that in this location, neighbors do NOT keep their dogs contained at all. That's why we had to rehome our Pekins. Also, coyotes are very thick here so was thinking that we need to make a run more secure from animals digging under. And, being new here, anything we need to know about snakes in coops?

To keep animals from digging, bury wire under the ground (under the fence/walls of your coop)... that's how we keep mongoose out. Also, use hardware cloth with small holes (chicken wire is weak and the holes are too big...)
