I would like help designing a coop for my 12 chickens that will keep everyone warm and safe in a Minnesota winter. HELP!

I'd go at least 8x8....8x12 would be better.
Large(12") roof overhangs all around with open soffits for winter ventilation.
Lots of top hinged, glazed windows for summer ventilation and winter light.
10x20 run with solid roof for those nasty winter days.
I highly recommend a scaled sketch on graph paper for review and revisions before starting to build.

Here's few ideas to browse thru:

Here's how to add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!
