Do you have wire in the eaves? I lost one of my lovely ladies to a hoot owl. It came in the eave one of the first nights that they were in the coop. Put hardware cloth in the eaves and have not lost any more of my birds.
I am only hiding it from the further neighbors. Basically, the entire neighborhood can my backyard. To most of them, this will look like a shed. The closest neighbours will know that we have chickens and it is okay if they hear some limited most (no roosters). But our neighborhood covenant clearly says no chickens... I know mine are quite loud announcing an egg has happened.
You did not say, but is there a particular reason they need to be stealth?
