Hey! I saw this link from the texas member list and I know exactly what you guys are going through! We have a little over 3 acres that my husband cleared out by hand at first, that is tough stuff.
Yours has really come along and there is nothing like living somewhere that you have put so much time and effort into!

Okay, it's WAY past time to update you guys ..

Things slowed WAY down through the holidays.. It took the plumbers about 6 weeks to do what they were supposed to be able to get done in 3 or 4 days

And they were two weeks late getting started ..

They are now done and gone.

We have tubs

We have a front door .. beautiful .. pictures on other computer .. for later.

The insulators were here yesterday .. done and gone.

Fireplace

Cap on the chimney .. yaay!! Now DH can stop stressing everytime it rains and we get rain down the chimney!

and how do I know that everything is being done correctly???

Because of all my little supervisors, of course.....

The builder is out there today .. says they have closed in the fireplace, built my bathtub shelf, and installed an attic ladder in one of the upstairs bedrooms ..

Sheet rock guys are supposed to be done by the end of the week ..

Yeah, they were TOTALLY infatuated with the house for a few days.. I had to keep kicking them out. DH draws the line at chicken poop all over the house and porch

(Of course he was VERY tolerant of me raising my chick to 4 weeks IN A CLOSET IN THE APARTMENT we are renting while we're building .. lol)

We have sheetrock! yay! But, MAN, does it change the appearance... in some ways it looks smaller, because you can't "see through" the walls, but in other ways, it looks HUGE .. wow. It's starting to look like a house ..

Kitchen, dining, mudroom area ..

.. I LOVE my shelf .. for a plant, a candle .. whatever... and my WINDOW..

Looking into the master bath from the master bedroom .. LOVE the window..

The foyer .. this window is actually in the upstairs bath .. to let light in from the dormer.

I laughed and said this pic looks like he is praying for good weather or something ..
