Building a new coop

I got the roof ready for metal, that wont come in untill next week.
Siding is next, and a gable vent
I still have some framing to do yet.

Gonna add an anti-dig apron to the coop?
Just in case you need something to do until the roof metal comes

Good examples of anti-dig apron installation.
If rodents are prolific, burying the apron ~12" would be good.

I'm waiting on the hardware cloth to come on also, I ordered two 1/2" x 48" x 50' rolls, waiting for those to

My coop pop door is 14” high, but my two on the run are homemade and only 11-12” and my poor old boy has to really duck and scrape to get through. The only reason I made them so small was to keep my dang dogs out of the run. They love to go in the run and curl up in the shavings.

What do you think, for my pop door openings make them 13" H x 12 W

Mine is 12" wide and 11" tall and I made it a bit short so a hen would not stand in the door a block it. The size really depends on what breed(s) you plan on having. Some of my hens will go through the door when it's only half way open in the morning, so they use 12" x 6" opening usually.

My roof metal came today,
Wrong color and no screws to match,
I tried to reorder the screws but delivery wasn't until Oct. 4th
So I cancelled. I am going to go get a close color , wont match but I'm not waiting the long for screws.

Tomorrow I'm putting the siding up, weather permitting
