Building a run first timer

The area between the coop and the shed will be the chicken run. How high should I make the fence? There will be no cover as there will be a holly tree in the run with two spirea bushes.

My 10 week old americanas have no problem getting on there perch 4' from the ground. I would go with 6' min if not 8'

Yikes, wasn't planning on going that high. I do plan on clipping their wings

Yes ours are not clipped so I can not speak on that. were you planning on covering the top?

I wasn't planning on covering it. I was figuring a 5' pen and clipped wings.

I was also going to give them supervised access to my back yard which is enclosed by a 4' fence.
