Yesterday i picked up a Lyon's Electronic Turner-X Incubator (I think it's the X5). It didn't have the turning motor, but i am working on a turning assembly. I've got the motor (a 3 RPM motor from a rotiserie cooker) and a mounting platform constructed - (molted plexiglass), all wiring is done - i just have to mount the shaft and arm assembly. I'll post some pics of the motor assembly later on...
My question is - I have a timer that only has 15 minute intervals. There are other digital timers available, but i'm just trying to use what i have. Say i use the 15 minute turner. Every full rotation should bring the egg back to upright... so at 15 minutes of rotating, the egg will roll forward, then back to starting position 45 times. I could then have the timer stop for a few hours, then begin the cycle again... turning on and rolling the egg another 45 times. So would this duration or interval and the number of rotations work?
