I have my wire and my clamp things and the pliers to use them. What can I use for a latch or where can I get latches for the quail pens?

I use a wire piece that is called a door latch and generally used for rabbit cages.... Here is a link...
http://www.bunnyrabbit.com/home.htm
I am not sure if it pulls up to the right page, but just go under door latch/handle on the side menu and it will pull up a lot of options.

I like this one mainly because it latches tight.

Just wanted to send one more link since bunnyrabbit is down this way near me. Klubertanz is up your way and has basically the same thing.
Here is their link...

Again not sure if it goes directly to the right page, but you can find it under product catalog and cage parts.

Hope that helps!

I use the small bungee that you use for bikes or stuff I got 20 at walmart for 5.00 and then I tie it to the door in the middle and cut off the other side and use it on another door so for 40 latches for 5.00 not bad

I use those dog thingies too, but on most o fmy pens I just have mini bungees one along the top of the "lid" horizontally, then vertically I have a mini bungee that is hooked to the bottom of the cage itself and then hooked to the horizontal bungee

Good idea on the bungees! I'd have never thought of that! I close my jumbo browns' pen with a piece of coated wire, so it's basically tied on there. A real pita if you have a bird in your hands, but at least the browns don't run away if they get out!

I'll have to get some of those bungees.
