My husband is building a coop for me. I have 4-6 chicks. (1 or 2 maybe roo’s and I can’t have roo’s😢)
What are your thoughts on the location of the coop? It is 4x4. He is also putting a downspout on the roofline by the coop.

I assume you own both fences along with the shed next to it? I ask because maintenance of all 3 might be an issue with no space to maneuver.

Any other spots you could place the coop at or is that the only option?

Do you have setback restrictions?
Thank you for your reply. We own the fences. One the left side and the back are fences. The right side is a storage building. We did have to get written permission from the two adjacent properties and a chicken permit from the city, which cost $10.
Yesterday our neighbors turned on their sprinkler system and the water came through the fence. We thought about putting up sheets of a white melamine on the fence to block the water. Trying to figure this situation out.

Is there any other place you could put it? The sprinklers are a definite problem, along with the others mentioned above.

Another consideration... a narrow run can aggravate pecking order/bullying issues, if any arise, as it doesn't allow a lower ranked bird to pass by a bully without getting in their personal space.
