Here is a close up of the gate-within-a-gate, my DH's idea.

See? Ingenuity! Excellent idea. Wait till you see the little breeding coop my DH came up with for our Ameraucanas. I told him, "Hey, it doesn't have to be fancy." He then looks at me and says, "What if it is?". The best part is that because of scavenging materials from one log home construction site, with permission, of course, the entire coop will cost maybe $25 or slightly more. It's a doozy! I'm waiting to almost finish it before the unveiling.
